Bishop Charles Azonwu

Bishop Charles Azonwu is the founder of Full Deliverance World Ministries (FDWM) and the overseer of all the branches in USA and Africa. He permanently resides in Los Angeles, California, where he pastors an FDWM branch.

Bishop Charles Anaele Azonwu married his sweet heart Pastor Blessing Azonwu in 1983 and they have many children and grand children in a joyous and happy home. After conversion to Christ, Bishop Azonwu joined the Assemblies of God Church in Nigeria in the 1970’s where he received his spiritual growth and training. Bishop Azonwu held such positions as Sunday school teacher, Men’s President and Director for Evangelism. He was also assistant Pastor to Rev. J.C Wami (1976-1979) in the Assemblies of God Church. Bishop Azonwu was the  Patron of a branch of the Scripture Union in Rivers State Nigeria – covering several schools and colleges.

Dr. Azonwu is author of several books published by the Arrow of God Publishers. He is also Editor-in-Chief of “The Power of Loving,” Sunday school manuals published quarterly by the Arrow of God Publishers.

Bishop Azonwu continues to be teacher and host of “The Voice of Deliverance,” – a weekly cable television program airing each Sunday in California. He is President, Founder, and Coordinator of “Christ’s Dynamites Prayer Group,” a monthly praying and fasting team in Los Angeles, California.

Bishop Azonwu worked for the County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services in California with the Command Post unit as a Social Worker and also for Mental Health Departments for many years as counselor and therapist.

He earned a Psy. D (Doctorate of Psychology) magna cum laude from Southern California University for Professional Studies in 2000, a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in 1989, and a Baccalaureate in Economics from Texas State University in 1985. Dr. Azonwu has acquired myriads of honorary degrees and certificates as well as recognition awards from high societal places for distinguished accomplishments.

Dr. Azonwu continues his research and his educational quest. He is currently completing a second Ph.D in biblical Counseling at a distinguished University. Dr.  Azonwu has been a therapist for over 23 years counseling and helping victims of oppressions from Satan in several mental health and religious organizations.

Major Accomplishments

Full Deliverance World Ministries has planted several branches in Africa – mainly Nigeria and has touched the lives of many with the enlightened Word of God. God has worked through our hands the manifestation of miracles, signs and wonders as many diseases were healed, demons cast out and stony hearts turned to serve God.

Through this organization, Dr. Charles and Mrs. Blessing Azonwu have provided cultural, social, spiritual and counseling services as well as compassionate encouragement to many. They have strengthened, motivated and empowered many helpless, underprivileged children and families as well as the inner city youth to regain self-confidence, recover destinies and retrace steps from hopelessness to normal life in the society. Many young people have benefited with educational awareness regarding tolerance, health and safety issues through preventive counseling, training and mentoring Services.

Dr. Azonwu and his wife have also recognized the enormous need to eradicate or reduce the gaps created by language barriers in the South Central Los Angeles area as more and more families were provided with excellent assistance in learning English, Spanish and French languages to alleviate communication difficulties and enhance community progress.

Furthermore, many inner city young people with various kinds of problems have been assisted to combat graffiti writing, control anger, gang banging, street lifestyles, poor school grades, joblessness, homework assignments boredom, unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIVs.

Full Deliverance Church currently has several programs and services to offer to the young people and neighborhood where it is located. The organization has achieved the success of consistency and reliability even in the face of economic difficulty and limited funding. Dr. Charles Azonwu and his wife have been a shoulder to cry and lean on for many. Their counseling services have produced dramatic positive effect in countless lives. A veritable multitude of individuals have sought out Dr. Azonwu and Mrs. Azonwu for advice and counsel which at times were at the point of desperation or destitution.
